Directions:
Drop macaroni into 2 or 3 quarts of rapidly boiling salted water, and cook until tender. Then drain hot water and turn into buttered casserole dish.
Meanwhile in a frying pan, sauté onions and garlic in olive oil until the onions are cooked and translucent.
Push onion and garlic over to one side of the pan. Then melt butter and blend in flour; cook over low heat until mixture is brown. Then combine with everything in the pan.
Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients, except bread crumbs or grated cheese.
Pour over macaroni, stirring slightly to distribute.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs
Bake in a 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 45 minutes.
Serve immediately.
