Apple Pie Hors d’Oeuvres

Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 can apple pie filling
  • ½ tsp Watkins cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Watkins nutmeg
  • cream cheese divided into 12
  • Cooking Spray
  • 1 small package 100 grams chopped pecan
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Instructions
 

  • Spray and coat the cavities of a muffin tin with cooking spray. Divide a sheet of puff pastry into 12 sections.
  • Take a piece of dough and press it evenly into the muffin tin cavities. Add the canned apple pie filling to a bowl. Break up the large apple slices into bite size chunks, Then add cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well.
  • To each shell add 1 piece of cream cheese, 1 tablespoon apple pie filling and top with 1 tsp crushed pecan. If desired you can pre bake the pastry shells then fill and bake until done.
  • Bake for 17 minutes or until done.
