- Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- With a pastry blender, combine butter with flour. Until it looks like a shaggy dough resembling peas.
- Add sugar, eggs & almond extract
- Press firmly into a round cake pan. Do not grease.
- Brush remaining egg yolk on top of cake.
- Top with slivered almonds.
- Bake in oven for 30 minutes or until lightly brown around edges.
- Let cool and slice.
