Spiced Apple Cider
1 quart sweet apple cider
8 whole all spice
8 whole cloves
1 stick cinnamon, if desired
Few grains of Salt
ΒΌ cup brown sugar, well packed
Pour cider into saucepan, add the spices and sugar, and cover; heat very slowly to the boiling point. Heat should be so low that it takes the cider about and hour to come to a boil. Remove from heat, strain, and serve steaming hot. 5 servings
