The recipe begins with a mix of ground beef, onions, green peppers, and celery, seasoned with salt and pepper, and cooked until browned. A simple sauce made from bouillon, hot water, and flour adds moisture and depth to the filling. The dough, whether pizza or biscuit dough, is rolled around the savory mixture and sliced into thick wheels, ready to be baked.
These wheels are served with a creamy mushroom sauce, made by stirring milk into condensed mushroom soup for a quick, flavorful topping. The result is a meal that’s both comforting and fun, perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings.
For a true retro experience, try making these hamburger wheels for your next meal and enjoy the simple, hearty flavors that have stood the test of time.
