Seven – Up Salad

7 Up, the popular lemon-lime flavored soda, has a fascinating history that dates back to its creation in 1929. Originally called “Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda,” 7 Up was created by Charles Leiper Grigg in St. Louis, Missouri. The unique name was derived from the seven main ingredients in the original recipe, which included lithium citrate – a mood-stabilizing drug.

Over the years, the formula was tweaked, and in 1936, the soda was rebranded as 7 Up as a nod to its seven main ingredients. The iconic logo featuring a number 7 followed by a green up arrow was introduced, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Today, 7 Up is enjoyed around the world for its crisp, refreshing taste and is a staple on supermarket shelves and in restaurants. Its history is a testament to the power of innovation and adaptation in the ever-evolving world of beverages.
